The best I can give you today is this story

A wise woman who was traveling in the mountains found a precious stone in a stream. The next day she met another traveler who was hungry.  The wise woman opened her bag to share her food. The hungry traveler spied the precious stone.   Recognizing it's value and what it could do for him he asked the woman to give it to him.
The wise woman smiled and without a moments hesitation gave it to him. The traveler left, rejoicing in his good fortune.  He could barely contain his delight at his good fortune and the woman's foolish choice to give away something so valuable.  For he knew the stone was worth enough to give him security for a lifetime.

But, a few days later, he came back to return the stone to the wise woman.  “I’ve been thinking,” he said. “I know how valuable this stone is, but I give it back to you in the hope that you will give me something even more precious.

"I will give you anything I can, what is it you desire from me" the wise woman said.   “Give me what you have within you that enabled you to give me this stone.”
